the beer and chips have been confiscated along with the codes to the doors, and the code has been changed.

I don't know whose room you think you broke into but to break into ours, you would have needed the list, the decoded list, the encrypted list and the encrypted decoded list that was only spoken about in code and not written down to be able to decipher the previous message about the codes.
