Neighbours up for awards

Interesting too see that in the UK Neighbours continually gets nominated (and I believe occasionally wins) awards yet rarely sees the same accolades in it's country of origin.

I suppose it's not that surprising given the way so many Australian viewers populate aussie tv forums and just bitch about every show possible and complain that Aussie tv is not on a par with the yank crap we get bombarded with. Still it would be nice to see Neighbours back on the list for the Logies etc, not so much for the award itself but for the recognition the longest running soapie and it's cast and crew deserve.

Neighbours is gold in comparison to half the crap (Reality shows) they put on TV and claim is entertainment

There is plenty of good shows from Australia and that means Neighbours does have an up hill battle to win any awards in this country but I do think if C10 put as much effort into advertising as they have done into shit like Family Feud Neighbours would be massive.

I watched one episode of family feud and got bored. Neighbours and Puberty Blues are the only Non-game, non reality aussie shows I know.

FF is on when I switch over from the news. I hate seeing the little drug addled runt on my TV nearly as much as I hate seeing Doofus Time but unfortunately they keep appearing.

I like a few aussie shows. The Time of Our Lives is good, and not just because I get to perv on Justine Clarke, it even had Bailey in series 1. I watch House Husbands too, I don't watch that much aussie drama but I've probably watched every aussie cop show since Water Rats. I like Aussie tv.

I don't watch much tv, not much interests me.

Well maybe you need to stay in the same room as the switched on television with the sound up sufficiently to hear.

I do, I just don't like the majority of the rubbish they play on TV.

Maybe he just owns the place. An old boss of mine owned one logistics company and a chain of waxing salons....sad thing was he spent more time learning to wax than he did driving a truck.
